High Desert Hardwood Designs
Joshua Tree, CA residents and world travelers, Roger and Louise Bridges bring hard woods to life with their incredibly detailed designs. These unique pieces are handcrafted from exotic woods using Intarsia techniques – the art of combining different naturally colored woods into smooth, puzzle-like wood sculptures. The fierce and fighting ready “Screamin’ Eagle” inlaid with the USMC emblem is a favorite for retirement and farewell gifts. Their palm tree and Joshua tree ornaments are perfect as a memento of your visit to the desert.

Mc Henry’s Ceramics
McHenry's Ceramics is a small home business founded in 1990 by Nancy McHenry and her husband Charlie. Most of the items that we produce are slipcast. In slipcasting molds are used to form the items being made and once the pieces are dried they are then cleaned and painted. The two painting methods used here are: airbrushing and drybrushing. Depending on the method used each piece is fired in a kiln either 1 or 2 times and sometimes for certain finishes the piece has to be fired 3 times, and no two pieces come out the same.
